Sexually Transmitted Diseases—Chlamydial and Gonococcal Infections
Indu S Nair
Chlamydia trachomatis causes chlamydial infections and Neisseria gonorrhoeae causes gonorrheal infections. Prenatal screening and treatment of pregnant women are very effective for the prevention of chlamydial infections and gonococcal ophthalmia in neonates.
